ITALIAN SKIRT SNAPPER
Is it just me, or is the BBC getting a bit snarky nowadays? Of course, their coverage of international events (most recently the tragic loss of life in China and Burma) remains superb. However, I find that the less important articles are either written by some grumpy staff writer or by someone who really enjoys their job. Let me show you what I mean.
I was reading an article on an old Italian man who was caught attempting to take pictures up/near/close to women’s skirts in Venice. After reading the article, I was rather glad Italian police decided do take action and arrested the man. While the article was rather odd, interesting and partly humourous, the last line nearly caught me by surprise.
It reads “He might have some explaining to do when he finally gets home.”
Snarky, isn’t it?

Edit: I couldn’t help but be reminded of I Love Lucy, when Desi Arnaz says “Lucy, you gots some splainin’ to do!”
