THURSDAY
I’m pooped, but pretty stoked about everything that went on today. I’m really tired at the moment (and my left eye is twitching…not a good sign), so I’m just going to separate things by section of the day.
Morning:
Woke up at 9AM for class… that starts at 9AM. I managed to get dressed and ready within an amazing 5-7 minutes (don’t ask how) and was cursing throughout the process. Then I just found my situation rather funny and started chuckling to myself. I wonder if it’s because I’m a senior, that I’ve experienced similar mornings before in the past four years, or that I’m just plain ol’ crazy. I want to say a mix of the three, but I have an inkling it’s the last line of reasoning.
Afternoon:
While I working and tidying up my room, I find out that Kal Penn (aka the infamous Kumar from Harold and Kumar) was at a nearby cafe (Blue State Coffee, of course) advocating on behalf of Barack Obama and his presidential campaign. I’m not usually so crazy over celebrities anymore, but since I needed to leave the room I decided to stop by to see what all the fuss was about. Here’s a picture from my cell phone (I couldn’t pull out my digital camera in time):
(Notice his Obama pin.)
I have another picture of the crowd afterwards but I will upload that later. Suffice to say, it was pretty neat since I haven’t seen a celebrity in person for quite a while. Then I had lunch and worked for a few hours.
Evening:
Evening rolled around and off I went to the etiquette dinner. Man, who would’ve thought that eating could be a torture process? Thank goodness I didn’t live here during the Victorian era or early 1900s. What ever happened to “just being yourself”? The event wasn’t all bad though, the food was relatively decent and I got to laugh with friends. Who knew that etiquette lingo was so ridiculous? Anyway, if any reader/friend of mine who didn’t go wants to know what went down in fancytown, ask me in person.
Night:
I strolled to the mini-mart behind my building to buy a few things, and I find this hilarious sign in the back of the store:

Hilarious! What a day! Haha. I’m so ready for the weekend. Ciao y’all.
